Futon
Did you ever slept in a Futon?
Possibly you may have borrowed a mattress if you had the experience to come to Japan. . . How about you?
If you slept in Futon, it is a good experience of Japanese cultures. In addition, you experienced sense of incongruity at the same time. Because Japanese spread Futon on a tatami mat. Therefore, Futon have elasticity unlike the mattress. Futon is the elasticity that is more firm than the mattress.

Futon which it used 100% cotton was old Japanese general Futon. Unfortunately they are hardly produced now.

The sense when people sleep will have nothing to do with the price.
The element which is important for futon is easiness of sleep of Futon. It is not only flexibility.
