Noren

The history of the noren dates back to the Nara era. When it was the Heian era, a noren was already hung at the storefront in merchant’s families of Kyoto.
The role of the noren used a name and a trademark, the thing which made a thing about the handling article a motif again as a shop sign.

Also the noren means trust in the business of the shop.
Therefore, for example, we “share a noren” in a meaning to give a license for a person becoming independent from one shop. Oh, it has a meaning like the current franchise.
